I live in NJ and I was working for a private partial care agency. My employer claimed to pay an “allowance” of my health insurance benefit, however I found out she was not paying any of it and I was paying all of it out of my paycheck (I have already resigned). My question is: if an employer offers health insurance benefits do they lawfully have to pay a portion of it? Keep in mind that when I was offered the position it was under the pretense that she would be paying a portion, however I was curious if it is a law that they have to pay some if it is offered.

I asked if people who had that surgery have to take hormones for life. Most said, yes but it is for health reasons and one said it makes them feel good. What health reasons. There is a difference between needing a hormone because your body cannot produce it and it is suppose to produce it; from wanting a hormone because of the medical benefits.

Is it a health benefit or health necessity?

Is it because the body is no longer producing hormones that it would of produced? If that was so then a person who has has srs could just as well take hormones of his/her previous *** and be just fine.

for instance, a company pays half of a $400/week health insurance. The half that the company pays is added into your gross pay, making it look like you have made more money at the end of the year, when in fact you have not. Is this legal?

I own a business (LLC) with two other people. It is only us three; we do not have any additional employees. We pay for our health insurance through our business. Based on these facts, I was wondering how much I stand to save on my personal taxes. Is this a standard write off like any other business expense or does the IRS treat health insurance differently?

to a job for health benefits. Do you think that large companies may not want people to have the option of a low cost individualized health plan because of the new competition they may face? That some of their brilliant employees may leave and start their own business?

My aunt lives in California. She wants to sell her home. She owes about 11k on it. The rest of the equity is all hers. She had ****** cancer back in the 90’s and the state gave her health insurance for this. At the time she did not own the home. Now she wants to sell and is wondering if the state can collect any money back form her due to medical expenses. I have checked and there is no lien on the property.
