If you get a medical discharge from the military do you keep your medical benefits still?

I have 4 years out of 6 left of the military, Im bout to be discharged for depression and im really scared bout that do you still keep any of your benefits like medical for me and my family?

    no. unless you are medically retired you lose your military benefits. That being said..once you are discharged, you go to the VA and get a disability rating from them. any medical coverage you are then entitled to will be the VA’s purview.
