It is a good plan. For the government to pick up the bill for everyone they would be spending three times what they spend on the Defense Department. We could not afford to do this unless we do what Europe does, have you pay a income tax of 15 to 20% for health care. Most people can get it themselves through their employer for cheaper, and do not want to pay higher taxes. They will never get a plan passed that would cost that much.
This way they will create low cost health care providers like it has for the auto industry.
